ABOUT ME/ADDITIONAL HELPFUL INFORMATION
Thank you for visiting my website. I want to take this opportunity to welcome you and provide you with some information about me as well as information that is helpful to know before you arrive at the salon for a service.
After working for almost 20 years as a home-based medical transcriptionist and needing a change, I decided to enroll in the esthetics program at Cosmetology Career Center. After graduation in 2002, I initially set up my business in the Mesquite area where I remained until 2006. I then moved to the East Dallas area and have settled at Lakewood Salons, conveniently located at the Northeast corner of Mockingbird and Abrams. During these years, I also worked for a top-rated downtown Dallas spa.
After eight years in the skin care business and working in many different environments, my philosophy is very simple: To provide skin care services in a warm, friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere with a no-nonsense approach to an individual's distinct skin care needs. My foremost goal is for your skin to look beautiful and for you to feel the benefits of having a professional skin care treatment.
I have very carefully chosen the products that I use for professional services. I use Janssen Cosmeceutical Care as my only skin care line. They have a vast array of skin care products that produce fantastic results and they are not any more expensive than those lines found in department stores, etc. I feel very fortunate to have found this wonderful line of products.
I use Nufree exclusively for my hair removal/"waxing" services. This is a product that is not actually wax; it is a soya-based, antimicrobial, antibacterial hair removal system. This product also stays at a consistent temperature of 98.6 degrees which is another reason this method of hair removal is much less painful than most. This product is ideal for those with very sensitive skin as it is gentle, but effective, and will not burn.
No hair removal will be done on clients who use Retin-A (within 3 inches of affected area), Accutane, or other similar products.
